Neither a fan nor a critic

So wat if she is a celebrity? So wat if both of them are rich ? So wat if she is the spokesperson/ ambassador for top notch brands? So wat if she is prim, proper & pretty? So wat if she is perfect? So wat if he is 20yrs older than her? So wat if she gets paid to broadcast her wedding over TV? So wat if she has a shoe designed for her for her wedding? So wat if they are filthy rich?

So wat if she is a top model? So wat if her face appears everywhere; office tables, rice, watch, health drink, gym, specs, trio A or trio B? So wat if she has pouty lips? so wat if she is now single? So wat if she snare ppl’s husband? so wat if she appears in a notorious mag? So wat if she likes fame?

So wat if she has decided to sing adilfitri songs? So wat if her beau doesn’t wan to be wif her? So wat if she writes a book to kiss & tell?

Life still goes on

Encounters (woo.....)

Since now is the Chinese 7th mth, it’s a good time to talk about wat else but the 3rd kind. U may haf heard a lot of stories b4 from friends and it’s a favorite past time especially when u r in Genting or camping wif frens and being entertain wif these stories at nite b4 u sleep. Hmm…come to think of it, maybe it’s just all part of the plan so that all guys & girls can huddle closely at nite……

Haf u ever wonder wat lurks behind the cupboards, underneath the bed, when u were a kid, like those in Monster Inc? or do u suddenly smell a whiff of scented flowers, which could probably be jasmine flowers?

I haf watched a VCD (local production) showing how this ‘leader’ tried to summon ghosts from the ‘hearsay’ way. He led casts which were made up of 3-4 girls, to go places which are known to be haunted. These girls were dress as sexy as they can (which makes u wonder whether the experiences they encountered is for real). Imagine going to a lonely haunted hse middle of the nite in a haltered neck blouse, mini skirts, tubes & hot pants. Anyway, 1 of the places they film was Genting (They do not actually tell u the location but u’ll recognize it cos they’d be filming the journey there. Not the whole journey but snippets of it). Apparently, in Ria, 1 of the floor were closed. On each of the door on tat floor has a fu (Chinese amulet). This ‘leader’ knocked on a few doors in order to summon the ghost. This ‘leader’ is not a sifu, mind u and I dun u/std y tis gals wanna risk themselves wif him. Mayb for the thrill, I dunno. The video captured a sound of baby’s crying, faint but audible. Then suddenly u can c the whole cast + cameraman scrambling down the staircase. When they reached down, some of the gals were crying.

I had my fair share of encounters especially during my early yrs. The most unforgettable one is the green hand on my stomache, the playing of a children song (3 little tiger) in the middle of the nite.

Now the encounters are more mellowed and almost none (thank goodness). Happen only in hotels; TV turning off by itself middle of the nite, hearing pitter-pattering of feet above my floor.

Things you wish it still was

I know I got a lot of reminiscence blogs but wat the heck.

When I was young, I wish I grew up faster so I can do whatever grown ups do. Now I wish I were young again so that I can slowly relish myself of my growing up years.

I remembered my hse in Dungun, which overlook South China Sea. If you were to look further you can see Pulau Tenggol. I was still in kindie at tat time. Mom will always go fishin at nite at the beach, bringin along a kerosene lamp and a rod. I will usually follow her and play with the sand. There was this incident that my mom happen to caught a fish and I ask my sis what fish is it. So she said “Yu bodoh”. I didn’t know it’s the name of the fish and I tot she was calling me stupid and I cried..

When I was staying in Tapah (at the foot of Cameron Highlands), I still recall that the mornings were cold & fresh. Pine trees were all over the garden. Our hse at tat time did not haf any fences around. And at the back of the hse are like secondary jungle wif lots of durian trees. (though it’s kinda scary to think now that there mite be wild animals seeking refuge in there or even theives) When it’s durian season, mom will collect the durians whenever she hear the durian dropped. I had rabbits back then and mom has pigeons. Mine is more of a pet whereas mom’s pigeon serve as tonic nourishment for all of us. My school is located near the Shell petrol station which is on the way up to Cameron. Ayam percik sold at the pasar malam were nice & juicy…I was quite good in ‘main getah’ (a game where you jump over a string made up of rubber bands tied together), playing the piano (I remembered nodding off when I was practicing and even when the teacher was beside me teaching. Given now I wud luv to play more often though my piano is not in good working condition anymore). I was infact very good in playing ‘7 stones’. I enjoyed eating milo powder (who says you can only drink milo?), bread with condensed milk, scoop a big spoonful of peanut butter and eat it.

Later I moved to Kluang. At that time, my hse still doesn’t have any fences around and same thing, behind was a smaller secondary jungle. When dad & mom cleared some of the wild bushes, there was actually a small stream. But each time we cleared the bushes, it grows back quickly and eventually we were lazy. There were lotsa banana trees so we have ample of supplies until we got bored of eating bananas. There were also lots of ubi keledek. Since there are too much ubi keledek, mom will slice and dip in to melted sugar and fry it…yummy. I got my taste of keropok ikan which is fully soaked with peanut sauce here (was sold outside STK at some malay makcik hse).

Boy, did we grew up too fast
